We also offer a Competitive Salary, Excellent Benefits Package, Nurse Retention Bonus, Flex/Advance Pay, Tuition Reimbursement, Career Growth Ladder, Employee Referral Bonus Program, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), 401K Plan.NOW OFFERING: Training will be provided for qualified candidates and assistance in getting the Wound Care Certificate.* SIGN ON BONUS $7,500 FULL-TIME HIRES** Competitive Starting Salary*Responsibilities* Oversee all direct wound care activities to assure practices are consistent* Identify, plan, implement, and evaluate skin care in residents* Manage and treat specific skin disorders* Coordinates weekly skin rounds* Perform assessment evaluations using techniques including observation, and inspection* Confer with the Care Planning Team in the development of the care plan* Provide treatment for skin disorders within established wound care protocol* Monitor the use of preventive measures such as inspection, turning and positioning* Precept new nurses and demonstrate individual procedures to new nursing personnel* Order and tracks the usage of supplies/equipment in prevention and treatment* Assist in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the needs of the resident, in accordance with established medical practices, the regulatory guidelines and the policies and goals of this facility* Provides information to resident and caregivers on prevention techniques and other ways to maintain or improve the general health and psychosocial status of the resident* Participates in Performance Improvement program as assigned such as wound and nutrition committee* Participate in the planning and conducting of in-service training classes concerning dermatologic nursing skills and procedures used within the facility* Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare's Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance PlanQualifications* Must hold an active RN license issued in the state of Maryland* At least 1 year of nursing experience required* Must possess an active certification in wound care* Experience with resident's skin care working in a skilled nursing facility preferred* Proven leadership skills to assure smooth unit/area operations and quality resident care* Effective communication skills to facilitate positive interpersonal interaction* Ability to interact with others in a considerate, helpful, and courteous manner
