FUTURE HOME is Hiring an AV Technician Near Los Angeles, CA

Audio/Video Technician

Future Home is an Award Winning Audio Video and Home Integration company located in Culver City, CA, servicing exclusive, high-end clientele in Beverly Hills, Bel Air, and the greater Los Angeles area. We are looking for a dedicated and responsible individual to join our growing team.

AV experience is preferred, but not required, for this position. If you have not worked in the AV industry previously, you should have a basic aptitude towards technology, computers and networking, an understanding and interest in AV equipment, and a willingness to learn.

Our team members are involved in all phases of projects from prewire, rack building and wiring, installs, and programming. We provide and encourage training in all aspects of these phases, creating a great opportunity for those coming into the industry to grow their skills.

This position entails installing and servicing home automation systems, including AV, networks, shades, and security. Technicians, in conjunction with the Lead Technicians and Project Managers, represent Future Home on jobsites. Technicians are responsible for themselves and their team while on-site, ensuring that all product is installed correctly and best practices are followed.

AV Technicians are:

Job responsibilities:

  • Successfully execute and complete assigned projects through the finish phase
  • Work directly with individuals and teams for the success of the project
  • Assist lead technicians with tasks when needed
  • Reliably and accurately documenting jobsite work completed and other details

Preferred work experience:

  • Low-voltage and signal-flow understanding
  • Control system experience, including Crestron, Savant, or Control 4
  • Education in electrical, AV field
  • Ability to read plan sets and architectural drawings
  • Proficiency in wired and wireless networks
