Manufacturing Technicians / Production Technicians in Woburn, MA.
Fusion Optix is a rapidly growing company and is a leader in advanced LED lighting technologies. We are looking for reliable, professional, and skilled technicians with experience in manufacturing companies to join our team, with a focus on LED products and assemblies. There are several positions available and the ideal candidates will be reliable, detail oriented and capable of performing a range of practical, technical and quality related tasks. Training will be provided and you will become part of a friendly and high performing team.
Job Responsibilities:
Operating automated assembly equipment, including pick-and-place machines, stencil printers and reflow ovens.
Mechanical assembly of LED light fixtures using hand tools including screwdrivers, allen keys, and power drills.
Wiring of LED modules, wire harnesses, power supplies, and other various electrical components.
Installation of optical components including lenses, reflectors, and light management optics.
Quality control and final test of LED boards and assembled fixtures.
Labeling, packaging & palletizing of finished products for shipment.
Contribute to process and equipment improvement programs by supporting management and production engineering.
Work with other operations and quality functions to ensure all work orders, specifications, and drawings are accurate before beginning production.
Support quality control procedures during production by utilizing test and measurement equipment (training provided).
Work with other technicians and managers to reduce waste and apply Lean manufacturing techniques.
Help out generally as part of the team, especially when production deadlines are tight.
Daily production shift: 7am to 3.30pm.
About You:
The successful candidates will have these qualities:
Prior experience in an SMT/PCBA environment, assembling electronic and mechanical modules in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
Mechanically minded, practical, able to operate hand tools.
Able to read assembly drawings and execute tasks from written instructions with little supervision
Good attention to detail and good numeracy ability.
High regard for safety policies and procedures.
Reliable, team player with good interpersonal skills.
Reasonable commute to Woburn MA for a daily shift starting at 7am and concluding at 3.30pm.
