Fusion Optix, a Woburn MA manufacturing company, is growing rapidly and is a leader in advanced LED lighting technologies. We are looking for pro-active, talented engineering technican to join our LED production team.
You will be responsible for supporting production activities and operating SMT pick and place equipment, stencil printers and the reflow process in a fast-paced volume production environment.

• Setup SMT/PCBA equipment including programming and configuring of Pick & Place lines, stencil printers and ovens.
• Optimize equipment and assist operators in order to meet weekly delivery goals.
• Maintain equipment as needed and per the manufactures guidelines to ensure full functionality and throughput.
• Support prototype builds and the first article review process. 
• Work with vendors to specify new equipment geared towards new capabilities or increased production efficiencies.
• Operate SMT/PCBA production equipment, including pick and place, stencil printers, and reflow ovens.
• Work with other operations and quality functions to ensure all work orders, specifications and drawings are accurate before beginning production.
• Support quality control procedures during production including the maintaining of logs and utilization of test and measurement equipment (training provided).
• Work with other operators and technicians to support continuous improvement actives, reduce waste and apply Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Help out generally as part of the team, especially when production deadlines are tight.

• Relevant college-level engineering courses.
• Mechanically minded, practical, comfortable in manufacturing environment and able to operate/ program production equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
• Good attention to detail and good numeracy ability.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience operating SMT/PCB equipment a plus.
• Experience working in a clean electronic anti-static manufacturing environment a plus.
