We have AWESOME opportunities for Skilled Machine Operators at a highly regarded company in Loves Park.
You’ll work in a team environment, operating complex packaging equipment.
- $18.00 hourly rate
- 5:50am to 4:209m
- Schedule will include mandatory overtime
- Ensure proper set up of equipment and supplies
- Perform material handling and staging of materials
- Responsible for equipment start up
- Operate equipment and demonstrate understanding of all aspects of the packaging process
- Monitor equipment to ensure the process is meeting specified performance requirements during operation
- Use machine read-outs to identify equipment operating status and clears all jams
- Execute all adjustments, lubrications, and date changes, and performs maintenance on machines per training
- Perform quality checks and records performance data on an hourly basis
- Perform routine cleaning of equipment and preventive maintenance (oil and greasing)
- Perform routine inspections (quality, HACCP, safety)
- Communicate performance/improvement observations to other team members
- Regularly rotate job responsibilities between material handling and machine operation and to provide relief coverage in an area as needed
- Must be willing to rotate to other areas based on the need identified by Production Leader
- Required to lift to 25 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Assist with other duties as needed.
- Work with team to continuously improve line performance and productivity through team improvement techniques and team problem-solving
- Communicates with all team members to ensure safety and quality within the line of the business
- Participate in annual team and peer assessments
- Participate actively in annually Business Management Activities; presents findings at monthly meetings
- Always observe Team Code of Conduct
- Maintain order and cleanliness of work areas
- Observe all safety rules, practices, and procedures in performance of duties
- Duties and responsibilities may vary based on business needs
- High school diploma or equivalent
