Job Summary:

We are seeking a Sterilization Technician to join our team. The Sterilization Technician will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental setting and possess knowledge of infection control procedures however we will consider all levels of experience. They would also be energetic, friendly and a team player. This is a vital role in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for our patients.

Duties:

- Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols

- Prepare instruments and equipment for use by healthcare professionals

- Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock as needed

- Follow infection control guidelines to prevent the spread of pathogens

- Assist with preparation for procedures

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper handling and storage of instruments

- Perform routine maintenance on sterilization equipment

- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area

Experience:

- Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred

- Knowledge of computer software is a plus

- Familiarity with Eaglesoft or other dental practice management software is desirable

- Experience with X-Ray imaging or medical coding is beneficial

- Understanding of infection control practices and protocols

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Skills:

- Proficient in sterilization techniques and procedures

- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and equipment

- Familiarity with patient assessment processes

- Understanding of infection control guidelines and practices

- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong problem-solving abilities
