Nursing - Heart & Vascular Center

Full-time

80 hours bi-weekly

1st Shift, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

The staff nurse, under general direction and in accordance with hospital standards and policies, will be responsible for coordinating and evaluating the nursing care for patients undergoing procedures in the Heart and Vascular Center and Radiology Departments, such as Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, and Stress Testing. Call time is anticipated in the future. Must be flexible to work variable hours based on patient schedule. May be required to come in early or stay over if needed.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of accredited professional nursing program. Must hold current RN license from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing. Preference is given for specialization in a cardiovascular related specialty. Must be able to provide nursing care requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of the biological, physical, behavioral, social and nursing science. Must have successfully completed ACLS and BLS. Must demonstrate critical care knowledge and skills including anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system obtained through clinical practice or completion of additional training. Must be proficient at interpreting cardiac rhythm strips. High level proficiency at obtaining and maintaining peripheral vascular access. Professional conduct and excellent communication and interpersonal relations skills. CCU experience required.
