Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team, specializing in Med/Surgical, Oncology, and Joint/Spine Observation. Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med/Surgical, Oncology, and Joint/Spine Observation units, ensuring adherence to best practices and hospital protocols.
- Assessment & Planning:
Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and monitor patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Medication Administration:Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for and managing potential side effects.
- Education: Educate patients and their families on disease processes, post-operative care, and health maintenance, providing resources and support for continued recovery.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatments, and progress in electronic health records (EHR).
- Quality Improvement:Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and evidence-based care protocols.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including infection control and safety standards.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, including certifications and continuing education, to stay current with advancements in nursing and healthcare.
Qualifications:
- Education:Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
- Licensure:Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in VA.
- Certifications:BLS required
- Experience: Experience in a Med/Surgical, Oncology, or Joint/Spine Observation setting.
-Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities.
- Physical Requirements:Ability to perform the physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting and transferring patients, standing for extended periods, and responding to emergency situations.
Benefits:

Competitive Pay: $31.91 - $55.38 per hour, based on experience and education. Shift Differential $4.50 night shifts and $2.50 weekend shifts
