The Position:

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to take excellent care of apartment homes in the Tacoma, Lakewood, and Bonney Lake areas. You will perform standard maintenance tasks such as painting, turnovers, repairs, landscaping etc. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition, to create value for our owners and a clean, safe, well-maintained place to live for our residents.

Responsibilities

· Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards

· Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)

· Conduct basic remodeling, construction as needed (drywall, painting, etc.)

· Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality

· Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed

· Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)

· Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide

· Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping, grounds) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)

· Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed

Skills

· Proven experience as maintenance technician

· Ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities simultaneously

· Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and other systems

· Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods

· Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

· Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills

· Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime when emergencies occur

· High school diploma or equivalent

Desirable skills:

Knowledge and or ability to follow OSHA safety standard and practices.

You must possess:

Reliable vehicular transportation, along with a current driver's license, and vehicle liability insurance.

Your own basic hand tools to accomplish tasks

Fluent written and spoken English

Job Type: Full-time

Interview process:

If you appear to be a good match, Fulcrum HR will reach out to you via phone call. From there you will have a video or phone interview with our HR director and then an in-person interview with the regional manager and maintenance tech.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
