FUJI FOODS USA is Hiring a Staff Accountant Part time Near Browns, NC

Job Summary:
Responsible for examining, analyzing, processing, and interpreting accounting records for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax, cash, petty cash, and asset depreciation. Complete reconciliations, and assist in special projects approved and/or initiated by Controller.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Payroll:
· Posting payroll entries to the general ledger.

· Reconciling various payroll and other reports to the general ledger.

· Processing payroll when needed.

Accounts Payable:

· Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, purchase orders, purchase requisitions, receiving reports, and file accordingly.

· Pay vendor invoices timely.

· Make entries and reconcile open payables with general ledger account at month end.

· Prepare credit applications for new vendors.

· Answer vendor inquiries concerning invoices and payments.

Accounts Receivable:

· Prepare and record in general ledger customer invoices and packing slips based on information provided by the production and logistics departments.

· Send invoices and related documents to customer depending on customer requirements.

· Maintain files on each shipment which may consist of various documents: invoice copy, packing slip, bill of lading, freight bill, etc.

· Post payments.

· Follow up on overdue payments.

· Prepare commission statements.

Sales Tax:

· Examine and analyze sales tax due on all invoices and prepare monthly sales tax report.

· Provide vendors with tax certificates when necessary.

· Remain current on developments in sales tax area and keep company in compliance with all applicable sales and use tax regulations.

Cash:

· Reconcile general ledger cash accounts to bank statements and prepares monthly bank reconciliation statements.

· Maintain company cash disbursement file.

· Process disbursements and deposits to the petty cash fund.

Asset Depreciation:

· Determine all new assets and enter into fixed asset software.

· Examine, analyze, and reconcile fixed asset reports with general ledger.

· Process monthly depreciation entries.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting highly desirable.

· Computer proficiency to include intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word and Office skills as well as Internet research skills and experience using an ERP system/s.

· Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work; ability to effectively handle multiple projects with track record of successful project completion; and ability to work positively under pressure.

· Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers/vendors.

· Be proactive in asking for information needed to perform job responsibilities.

· Assist in special projects and perform other duties as directed by management and leadership.
