FUBA Workers' Comp is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist Near Tallahassee, FL

Accounts Receivable Specialist (Full Time)

Location: Tallahassee, FL (in-office)

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm; Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm

Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 annual salary plus benefits package (see below for details)

Summary of Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • 3 years of professional administrative experience OR Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 1 years of professional experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Ability to commute to our Tallahassee office Monday - Friday

About Us: FUBA Workers’ Comp is a Tallahassee-based managing general agent for workers’ compensation insurance. Since 1989, we’ve been providing exemplary customer service and industry expertise to thousands of small businesses in Florida. Our family-friendly office of about 10 employees does a good job of maintaining a fairly relaxed atmosphere while still producing stellar results. About this position: We are looking to strengthen our operations by adding an Accounts Receivable Specialist to the team. This person will perform a variety of accounting and administrative tasks such as processing and posting payments, generating and mailing invoices, performing monthly bank reconciliations, and preparing monthly reports for management. We are open to training the right person, but there are a few non-negotiable skills we are looking for.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Is detail-oriented and always triple-checks their work
  • Takes initiative and isn't afraid to come forward with questions
  • Understands how to prioritize time-sensitive tasks
  • Can be flexible, pivoting to new tasks as needs change
  • Enjoys collaborating with others and is always willing to pitch in
  • Likes to interact with clients and agents over the phone throughout the day
  • Is not afraid to research how to complete an unfamiliar task
  • Models professional office etiquette and communication
  • Is looking for a long term position at a company they can grow alongside

Essential Tasks of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • Answer telephone inquiries from policyholders, agents, and payroll companies
  • Process and accurately post EFT payments
  • Process monthly autopay payments
  • Review and post premium refunds in policy management system
  • Follow up on unpaid premiums to prevent cancellations
  • Reconcile monthly bank statement against policy management system to ensure accuracy

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has 3 years' experience beyond school OR holds a relevant bachelor’s degree
  • Has 1 years' professional experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products (particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Is computer-savvy and capable of picking up new programs quickly
  • Has a good numbers sense and can complete basic calculations independently
  • Enjoys both collaborating with others and working autonomously depending on the day’s needs
  • Can commute to our Tallahassee-based office
  • Can work 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Thursday, and 9:00am – 4:00pm on Fridays
