- Provide leadership that drives operational excellence, continual improvement, and teamwork throughout the facility.
- Complete the appropriate metrics and ensure the proper monitoring controls are in place to regularly measure the team’s performance.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, train, and develop warehouse associates to build an effective and stable team capable of executing operating plans and achieving both divisional and corporate objectives.
- Analyze and report the teams results on a regular periodic basis to senior management and recommends corrective action to improve future performance.
- Design, implement, and constantly improve material handling, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes to optimize throughput, minimize cost/investment, and satisfy customer demand.
- Ensure safe, efficient warehouse facility operations by advocating safety training and accident preparedness.
- Actively coach, counsel, mentor & inspire associates to facilitate personal growth and development.
- Establish and maintain partnerships across all levels of departments in order to implement strategic solutions.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
