Lake Charles, LA: FTS is seeking 2 LA DOTD Certified Inspectors for a long-term, HIGH-PAYING contract for the Lake Charles, LA area – One (1) Structural Concrete Certified Inspector with 10 years of experience in road/bridge construction and one (1) Embankment and Base Course Certified Inspector with 5 years of experience in road/bridge construction. Must reside within a reasonable driving distance to the Lake Charles area.

Requirements/Skills:

· Must have 1 of the following LADOTD certifications: (OUT OF STATE DOTD CERTS MAY BE ACCEPTABLE TO LADOTD)

· Structural Concrete plus minimum of ten (10) years of experience in road/bridge construction

· Embankment plus minimum five (5) years of experience road/bridge construction

· Asphalt Paving, PCC Paving and Base Course are preferable.

· Computer skills include Microsoft Office Software including MS Word and MS Excel

· Work with architects, contractors, and engineers daily.

· Communication Skills both oral and written in English

· Ability to read and comprehend civil engineering drawings and specifications

· Ability to interface with clients and contractor personnel

· Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record

· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and the ability to work at elevated heights

· Ability to work in hot, cold, or inclement weather conditions

· Ability to work overtime or nights as needed
