Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations. Your expertise and knowledge will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees.
Duties:
- Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
- Provide training to employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and hazard recognition
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and other relevant documentation
- Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and ensure their effective implementation
- Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices
- Fabricate safety signs, labels, or other materials as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and requirements
- Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and reporting procedures
- Strong report writing skills to document incidents, investigations, and recommendations
- First aid certification is preferred
- Knowledge of EPA regulations is a plus
- Experience in training development is highly desirable

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
