About the Role

The Manager, Human Resources will be an integral member of the Econ Americas team. This position will work closely with the Econ AMER HR Leader to determine, implement and manage talent solutions in the US, Canada and Latin America, necessary to support business growth, to engage, develop and retain employees and to support a culture of collaboration, inclusion, development and flexibility. The HR Business Partner will also support strategic talent planning, compensation philosophy and planning, reporting and analytics. This role will collaborate with HR team members, segment business leaders and Corporate HR center of excellence (COE) staff to manage the overall delivery of HR services to the business segment. The successful candidate will support the region in meeting its ambitious growth targets by providing guidance, coaching and analysis to leaders and our strong team of employees around the US, Canada and Latin America.

What You’ll Do

Talent Development/Employee Engagement/Culture

This role will work with Econ AMER business leaders, employees and other HR team members, to implement performance management, coaching & feedback, learning & development and full-life cycle practices for our talent. 

  • Manage the performance & career development effort by:
    • Partnering with employees and coaches to develop a continuous feedback model with a foundation of goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews, 360 feedback, and ongoing coaching
    • Coaching and counseling coaches in support of employee development
    • Working with leaders and HR team to identify and track key talent, career planning for high potentials, succession planning and retention planning for high performers
  • Manage Econ AMER’s talent development strategies by:
    • Collaborating with leadership to define needs and with the Learning & Development COE to define programs to support the needs
    • Partnering on the design and delivery of learning and development programs related to performance and business development, employee career growth and diversity & inclusion
    • Support global talent development programs including diverse mentor programs, senior leader promotion process and readiness
    • Counsel leaders and coaches and manage risk around employee relations issues
  • Manage and analyze results of employee engagement initiatives to drive retention, including employee recognition programs, employee engagement surveys and create impactful action plans
  • Act as a culture enabler influencing and supporting Econ AMER leaders on key focus areas such as diversity & inclusion, flexibility, career coaching and sponsorship 

Compensation, Talent Planning, and HR Operations

  • Compensation Philosophy and Planning
    • Work with Econ AMER HR Leader, Finance and the COE Compensation team to manage and a fair and equitable pay for performance compensation philosophy
    • Manage and administer salary management including the Annual Compensation Planning process and providing input on market data
    • Advise and guide leaders and coaches on appropriate compensation decisions for employees and new hire compensation recommendations
  • Strategic Talent Planning
    • Manage the Talent Plan and Hiring Strategy in coordination with the Econ AMER HR and Finance Leaders, and Talent Acquisition Team to produce accurate and detailed headcount plans that are aligned with business strategies including creating a diverse workforce
    • Partner with Early Talent Recruiting to oversee Intern and Consultant campus process
  • HR Operations
    • Work closely with other members of the HR Solutions Center on managing employee lifecycle process to:
    • Lead an efficient and effective onboarding process that ensures that new employee transition is smooth and timely and that all HR administrative/compliance responsibilities are complete
    • Manage an out-going employee process that have leavers feel FTI is a place to recommend others, ensures all HR administrative/compliance needs are met, and that useful exit information is gathered, appropriately considered and addressed to drive future impact
    • Prepare and maintain segment specific talent reporting and metrics for Regional leadership
    • Provide strategy around complex global mobility cases in conjunction with Global Mobility Team and Segment

What You Will Need To Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field 
  • 5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Experience across multiple HR functions including Performance Management/Career Development, Learning and Development, Strategic Talent Planning and Acquisition, Compensation, Analytics and HR Operations
  • Experience in linking HR initiatives to strategic goals of the business
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in supporting multiple business leaders across varied practice areas
  • Ability to communicate, transfer knowledge and influence all levels of management in a professional and positive manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage conflict and ambiguity. 
  • Proficiency in use of standard company software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) Familiarity with PeopleSoft a plus
  • Currently this is a hybrid role, with some time expected on-site as well as the ability to travel

  • Organized, including having the ability to prioritize, request assistance when necessary, work independently and quickly respond to situations and tasks in deadline-driven situations
