FROST PLLC is Hiring a Remote Strategic Financial Manager

Our Strategic Finance Manager role entails delivering Financial Planning & Analysis services to clients, back-office training and support, accounting leadership, development of accounting/finance workflows, and intricate business intelligence support for Frost CFO Services fractional clients.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Work with Frost CFO Services team and clients to develop short-, mid-, and long-term financial forecasts and build out Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and analysis tools for clients.
  • Evaluate and recommend strategic initiatives, investments, and expansion opportunities to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
  • Implement ways to leverage existing accounting software or assist in conversions of new systems, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Work with clients to implement cost control measures and identify areas for cost optimization while maintaining operational efficiency and quality standards.
  • Prepare budget based on forecasts; direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and other accounting and financial reports.
  • Manage business risks; suggest improvements to current planning methods & oversee investment funds raised for expansion purposes as required by the client’s executive leadership/management strategy.
  • Direct preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, etc.; compares sales/profit projections with actual figures & budgeted expenses with actual expenses, making necessary adjustments as needed for future projections/budgets.
  • Review the planning process, suggesting improvements where possible while overseeing investment funds and working closely with investment bankers if additional capital is required for expansion purposes.
  • Provide clients strategic financial guidance and insights, supporting decision-making processes related to pricing, product development, capital investments, and market expansion.
  • Create financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision-making.
  • Analyze industry trends and make recommendations based on those trends.
  • Consult with clients to understand their company goals, timelines, and acceptable risk levels.
  • Monitor markets and economies and evaluate how changes may affect clients.
  • Analyze and propose systems related to financial accounting methods, policies, and procedures; recommend improvements.
  • Identify and analyze client preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
  • Consult with potential client to understand their needs and identify and suggest equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
  • Compile materials and coordinate activities related to special events such as trade shows or conferences.
  • Ability to provide analysis by using various statistical, financial, and accounting methods.
  • Identify additional engagement opportunities with existing clients.

Qualifications

  • Accounting or Finance Degree required.
  • Relevant Mid-level strategic financial management and accounting experience, including some sales and/or business development experience.
  • Experience identifying and selling additional value opportunities to key stakeholders and C-suite level leadership.
  • Ability to build strong relationships of trust & influence and lead work initiatives with cross-functional coordination with stakeholders.
  • The environment is fast-paced, and client needs are often evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success.
  • Experience presenting financial analysis and summaries in an easily digestible manner to program managers, executives, and individual contributors.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills and meticulous analytical capability
  • Strong ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects successfully while maintaining an even-keel approach and commitment to deadlines.
  • Experience within the Food and Ag industry.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of agribusiness operations and accounting/finance workflow.
  • Ability to travel nationwide up to 35% of the year.
