Our Strategic Finance Manager will have responsibilities to provide FP&A services, client back office training and support, accounting leadership, possess a thorough understanding of agribusiness operations and accounting/finance work flows, thorough understanding of Ag related ERP systems and have the capacity to develop business intelligence reporting in a complex format to CFO Services Clients.

Your key responsibilities:

• Works with CFO Services team and clients to develop short, mid, and long-term financial forecasts.
• Assists in month end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Implements ways to leverage existing accounting software or assists in conversions of new systems.
• Provides cost accounting support for better understanding margins of products sold.
• Prepares budgets based on forecasts; directs the preparation of all financial statements including income statements, balance sheets etc..
• Manages business risks & insurance requirements; suggests improvements to current planning methods & oversees investment funds raised for expansion purposes as required by client’s executive leadership/management strategy.
• Directs preparation of all financial statements including income statements, balance sheets etc.; compares sales/profit projections with actual figures & budgeted expenses with actual expenses making necessary adjustments as needed for future projections/budgets.
• Reviews planning process suggesting improvements where possible while overseeing investment funds working closely with investment bankers if additional capital is required for expansion purposes.
• Reconciles bank statements on behalf of clients while assisting them in hiring efforts and developing manuals related to their respective Accounting & Financial departments.

Qualifications

• Accounting or Finance Degree
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Mid-level financial management experience.
• Proficient in database and accounting software and the Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, and

Outlook).

• Experience in the agriculture industry is strongly preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
