Responsibilities

• Ability to read drawing plans and operate Press Brake control panel.
• Press Brakes are precision equipment, being off by millimeters could mean critical errors.
• Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
• Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints.
• Check height, depth, and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments.
• Configuring equipment and calibrating gauge settings, recognizing conditions of dies, loading material onto the equipment, feeding material through the die, and positioning and removing parts from die.
• Keep a record of a number of pieces made and routine equipment maintenance performed.
• Read the work schedule to ascertain production information, such as size, type, and quantity to be processed.

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma (preferred)
• At least 1 year of experience on one of our Bystronic Models ( 100 , 200, or 320).
• Pay is directly related to actual experience on this particular equipment.
• Mechanical Background
• Basic math skills
• Attention to detail
• Be able to lift 50lbs
