We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team at the Friends Lake Inn. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, exceptional customer service skills, and a strong knowledge of beverages, including wine. This position requires flexibility in scheduling to accommodate our diverse clientele, including those attending weddings and events. Availability Thursday -Monday is a must.The Bartender will be responsible for providing outstanding service to guests, preparing and serving beverages, as well as food service in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all guests, ensuring a welcoming and enjoyable experience.
• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and standards.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of wines including varietals and pairings, to assist guests in making selections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking supplies, cleaning glassware, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate food and beverage service, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to guests.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines, monitoring guest consumption and identifying and addressing any concerns or issues.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar area for weddings, events, and other special occasions.
• Uphold professional standards of appearance and conduct at all times, representing the inn and restaurant with professionalism and integrity.
• Stay informed about current industry trends and developments in beverages and hospitality, continuously seeking opportunities for growth and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a bartender in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wine, and beer.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently and courteously with guests.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure, multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities in a dynamic setting.
• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS) preferred.
• Knowledge of wedding and event service protocols is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
