Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Patient Advocate to join our team. As a Patient Advocate, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to patients and their families during difficult times. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care and support throughout their healthcare journey.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between patients, their families, and healthcare providers
- Advocate for patients' needs, rights, and preferences
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families
- Assist with navigating the healthcare system and understanding medical procedures
- Help patients make informed decisions about their healthcare options
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
- Assist with bereavement support for families who have lost a loved one
- Organize and facilitate support groups or educational events for patients and families
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and progress

Skills:
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
- Strong ability to present information clearly and effectively to individuals or groups
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of bereavement support techniques to provide comfort and assistance to grieving families
- Leadership abilities to guide and support patients through their healthcare journey
- Experience in event planning to organize support groups or educational events for patients and families
- Understanding of hospice care principles and practices
- Knowledge of Christian counseling principles (if applicable)
- Proficiency in public speaking to deliver presentations or facilitate discussions
