The essential function of the Security Guard Lead is to provide leadership and direction to security personnel to carry out all aspects of the security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of personnel, property, products, and other company assets. Responsible for the implementation, coordination, advancement, and support of the Security Program at the site level and will support functional objectives within the framework of Fresh Mark’s corporate philosophy.

 Specific responsibilities include:

•  Manage the day-to-day functions of the Security Team at the facility level. Perform the same duties as all Security Guards plus lead responsibility for all security personnel on all shifts.
• Ensure all Security Guards perform their duties as instructed by the Security Program.
• Ensure that all Security Guards document the daily activities of the facility and complete the necessary reports regarding incident, irregularities, and unauthorized activities.
• Lead, plan and schedule security activities as directed.
• Participate in the development, testing and implementation of security plans, products and control techniques.
• Inform appropriate personnel of any emergencies or unusual situations.
• Respond to all security incidents and emergencies in a supervisory capacity ensuring appropriate action is taken and notifications are made.
• Assist with interviewing, selecting and ensure proper onboarding of new Security Guards and assist in evaluating the performance of Security Guards.
• Assign work to Security Guards and establish priorities.
• Lead and evaluate security reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate all security and ensure appropriate action is taken and notifications are made.
• Determine and recommend changes to improve security operations.
• Provide Security Guards with direct training and advise Security Guards on new security practices and procedures.
• Utilize security systems and devices such as cameras, monitors, etc. on a regular basis to monitor activity inside and around the facility.
• Assure all functions of the department is operating properly and maintain a safe and secure environment.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience working in security, criminal justice, law enforcement, or military.
• Availability to work any shift. However, we are hiring 1^st shift.
• Must be able to work assigned weekends and holidays
• Must have a valid driver’s license 
• Must be trustworthy and pass background check.
• Good communication skills.
• Follow proper procedure.
• Works well with team.
