Job OverviewThe Housing Office Counselor provides all management services, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform Housing Services Office (HSO) functions and services for eligible U.S. Department of Defense members in the Polish Community. The primary focus of the service is to provide assistance to newly arrived Soldiers and eligible Civilians in locating adequate and affordable non-discriminatory housing in the local community and in vacating such housing in real estate non-personal location and relocation services for. The counselor provides customer service, verbal interpretation and advisory assistance during customer and landlord negotiations.
Qualifications

• Able to write, speak and understand English and Polish fluently.
• 2 years of Real Estate experience.
• Driver’s license.
• Conflict resolutions and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and compose correspondence and other written communication.
• Experience with both Polish and US Department of Defense Housing Regulations.
• Experience in an English-speaking environment for a minimum of six (6) month.

Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

• Must have strong negotiation skills. For example, rental price negotiating, researching the rental index in the specific area, as well as renegotiating rental prices when listing becomes available and landlords are requesting increase in rental prices
• Explains all special conditions in the Housing rental agreements, including renovation fees and the 30-day military clause.
• Perform and assume responsibility for planning, programming, administering, managing, and executing all functions necessary to provide the services. Perform services in accordance with the contract guidance and all applicable United States (U.S.), Polish, and local laws, regulations, standards, provisions, and directives to include applicable publications.
• Ensure that all work meets the level of service, performance standards, or tolerances specified in the contract and applicable referenced documents.
• The Contractor shall perform all related administrative actions required to provide services or perform work such as material requisitioning, quality control (QC), financial control, meetings, and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate and complete records, files, and libraries of documents to include all U.S., Polish, and local regulations, standards, provisions, codes, laws, technical manuals, and manufacturers’ instructions and recommendations that are necessary and related to the functions being performed.
• The Contractor shall compile historical data, prepare required reports, and submit information.
