Essential Duties:
Assist French and English teachers in activities
Prrepare materials for student lessons
Provide comfort to distressed children with compassion
Help in setting up the classroom
Supervise students during recess, lunch and rest times
Other duties as assigned by the Teacher or the Division Head
Schedule: The schedule follows the teachers schedule with start and end times determined each year, generally between 8am and 3pm.
Salary based on experience; range from approximately 37,000-59,000 annually
Native French Speaker preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of current safety & security protocols
Current knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices in preschool education
Outstanding personal and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
The ability to work with a diversity of individuals and groups, including teachers and staff, students and parents
Excellent problem solving skills to analyze issues and create action plans
The ability to adapt to changing work priorities
Be flexible, open, patient and empathetic
Ability to exercise professional judgment at all times
