Our School

French American International is a PK-12 independent school in San Francisco. Founded in 1962, the school is a multicultural, multilingual educational institution with over 1,100 students across an urban campus in the heart of the city. Position Overview

The Library & Study Hall supervisor will oversee and manage students who are in the library for a quiet study period when their teachers are absent, when they have been assigned a study hall to complete make-up work, and when they need a quiet place to take a make-up or retake test. The supervisor will manage attendance for each of these arenas, as well as track and organize students who need study hall time to make up missed classwork or tests.

Key Responsibilities

• Student supervision while in the library
• Collaborate with the Librarian and Library Aide on maintaining a healthy and safe library space
• Track students who are there because of teacher absence – take attendance and monitor
• Monitor study hall students and guide their work based on missing work lists
• Organize and track make-up, re-take, and extended time tests, and proctor students as they test

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills
• Good connections with students and collaboration with adults

Rate of pay: $25 per hour
