Summary

Lead client engagements, conceptual development, innovation, execution, and presentation of creative assignments and accounts. Lead creative project teams in driving the next wave in innovation and concept development. Demonstrate the ability to see beyond explicit assignments and identify broader, long-term opportunities for your clients. Win new clients and attract brilliant creative talent to the organization. Understand what makes a great user experience and have a deep understanding of the technology driving today. Provide guidance on best practices and expert guidance, feedback, and mentoring to project team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Executes high-complexity projects with variable team sizes and employs multiple methods to create clear, compelling and delightful results to all levels of stakeholders.
  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of design to the completion of significant assignments. Well-developed leadership qualities and ability to understand and collaborate across fields.
  • Plans and conducts assignments, generally involving the larger and more important projects or more than one project. Reviews progress and evaluates results. Assists with the review and evaluation of team's performance. May act in liaison capacity with other departments, divisions, and organizations. Evaluates and recommends major changes in processed and procedures. Operates with considerable latitude for unreviewed action or decision.
  • Demonstrates a wide range of collaboration with large dollar high-trust customer accounts.
  • Leads and mentors teams in the process of demonstrating Conceptual creative thinking skills that are clear, compelling and delightful to all levels of stakeholders, and to use multiple methods.

  • Leads and mentors teams in the process of creating stories or describing ideas that clear, compelling and delightful to all levels of stakeholders, and to use multiple methods.
  • Promotes brand consistency through brand narratives that support design objectives and creative concepts.
  • Provides creative direction on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Creates content for both print and digital platforms for projects.
  • Assists Account Directors build strong client relationships and act as a senior-level client representative for the creative team.
  • Works within specified deadlines; edit and revise work based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Collaborates with an interdisciplinary group of designers as well as stakeholders from other disciplines such as sales, marketing, operations and fabrication.
  • Participates in design planning for complex, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Clearly communicates design intent.
  • Actively participates in studio pin-ups, discovery sessions, and reviews.
  • Provides best practices guidance to the studio.
  • Provides expert guidance, feedback, and mentoring to project team members from concept to completion.
  • Leads project teams, delegate workloads, manage schedules and deadlines.
  • Oversees and manage the quality and accuracy of the design documentation, visual communication, and storytelling methodology and deliverables.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in English, journalism, creative writing, communications or equivalent experience demonstrated by a strong portfolio.
  • 10 years of experience in a creative agency, corporate marketing environment, or architectural design firm in applicable areas of space design such as retail, hospitality, exhibit, and urban design with a strong portfolio of projects that demonstrates the design skills needed to produce high quality, innovative, user-centered experiences.
  • 2 years of experience leading a design team.
