Summary

The Assistant Director – Client Solutions is responsible for management of Client Solutions and support teams. Directs team to ensure goals on revenue, profit and production are achieved. Directs team to accomplish and track certain tasks for all shows in each region with team members serving as venue and process experts supporting all regional event work. Plays a key role on major accounts. Intermediate role that continues to develop a deeper understanding of the growth organization and the principles of genuine and authentic leadership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Differentiators

Leadership
  • Direct team in the successful and profitable production of revenue opportunities.
  • Comply with strategies set by VP or SVP with the assistance of Director Client Solutions.
  • Play key role on major accounts.
  • Collaborate with Delivery leadership.
  • Participate in meetings for team that allow for collaboration on goals to include, but not limited to E3 calls, production meetings, team meetings and delivery meetings as necessary.
Client Solutions
  • Develop E3, order lead time, event profitability and budget goals with assistance of Director Client Solutions.
  • Identify execution and profit challenges on accounts and develop actionable plans for improvement.
Budget
  • Ensure accurate budgets on all accounts in group.
  • Manage within team operational budget.
Talent Management
  • Recruit, develop and retain team members.
  • Execute on training programs as determined by team leader to include mentoring new employees.
  • Assist with personnel succession planning.
Analytics
  • Ensure systems data integrity (ex Salesforce, Event Calendar, TSS, etc)
  • Report areas of concern on show execution areas (order lead, E3, event profitability & budgets) to Director Client Solutions.
Miscellaneous
  • Support team on major proposals, and presentations in tandem with Business Development.
  • Participate in industry organizations on committees (national and local basis) with assigned direct reports.
  • Conduct random invoice audits to verify accurate account billing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required.
  • One (1) or more years of leadership experience in a sales related role is preferred.
  • Four (4) or more years of related account management experience.
  • Has proven the ability to manage their own book of accounts or the ability to lead teams in the successful and profitable production of revenue opportunities totaling approximately $2 million or more.
  • Key role on major accounts.
  • Knowledge of sales systems such as TSS, Passport, ECS, EMS and Salesforce.com is required.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Software applications.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills are required.
