Are you a detailed oriented Commercial Field Engineer seeking an exciting career in Solar? Look no further! Freedom Solar Power is looking for a Commercial Field Engineer to join our team! You will play a critical part in the solar installation processes by performing site surveys, QA/QC checks, and becoming an expert on the technologies that we install. The right Commercial Field Engineer candidate for Freedom Solar Power is reliable, has a successful record of meeting deadlines (with no excuses!), is organized, can handle highly technical data, and is a team player! Must be fast-paced and have a sense of urgency. This position is 90% travel; mostly M-F, with occasional weekend travel required.

Essential Functions and Duties:

  • Assisting or leading our site survey process.
  • Visiting job sites and offering technical assistance
  • Setting standards and using advanced tools to certify compliance with the standards. 
  • Making sure that all required deliverables are complete and done in a professional manner.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to evaluate field work and grade appropriately. 
  • Prior solar/construction experience is highly preferred
  • Work with a sense of urgency, and be passionate about deadlines.
  • Problem solve and let no obstacle prevent you from completing your tasks.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Detail-oriented 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • People Management skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • G-suite and Project management software experience
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
