This position serves as a liaison between Laboratory Services, Information Technology , and other ancillary departments and end users. The Liaison assesses department information needs and functions for adaption to or interface with other systems, and collaborates with others to install, implement, and update software programs as assigned. S/he provides/creates specifications for custom reports, and coordinates with department leaders and system analysts to adapt legal and regulatory changes to system functionality.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Effective communication, interpersonal and group process skills and excellent analytical and problem solving skills are required. Must have demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to establish goals and prioritize in a multi-tasked environment under minimal supervision.
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required:
• Medical Technologist preferred, Bachelor’s Degree in related professional field required.
• Minimum of two -five years of related experience is required. Prior Laboratory Information Systems experience preferred.
