Frederick Health is Hiring a Client Support Specialist - Emergency Relief Near Frederick, MD

Job Summary:

Serves as the advanced support resource for all users of microcomputers with a concentration on PC server and PC application management. Duties include: installing, configuring and maintaining desktop and laptop PCs and peripherals such as printers, installing and configuring application and operating system software and upgrades, troubleshooting and repairing hardware and network connectivity issues, removing old equipment and performing data migration to new machine, operating and monitoring computer equipment and peripherals, performing system backups, identifying equipment problems and initiating corrective action, and keeping required logs and system records according to departmental procedures. IT Technical Services responsibilities include: Taking initial telephone calls and logging into our ticketing system; Monitoring emails for alerts, issues, and requests and supporting walk-in customers. Troubleshooting includes: Computer desktop support using our remote supporting tools; Hardware such as scanners, phones, laptops; Software such as our EMR, two-factor authentication and Citrix; Recognizing and escalating more difficult problems to Tier II support. 

Supports the Mission of Frederick Memorial Hospital and complies with the hospital’s Standards of Behavior.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

  1. Associates degree or completion of coursework through a technical school required. Bachelors degree is preferred.
  2. Professional certification such as the A certificate or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) designation preferred.
  3. Hands-on experience working with PC hardware and software including four years of computer user support experience required. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows NT, and graphical user interfaces and advanced applications skills (macros, database, OLE).
  4. Excellent problem-solving and customer-service skills, as well as thorough knowledge of PC hardware, software and network connections.
  5. Must demonstrate and maintain current knowledge and skills in providing appropriate care/contact for patients in the following age groups:

Hours: As needed, emergency relief. Initial training will be 3 to 4 weeks of full-time, Monday -Friday immediately after employment.
