The Surgery Scheduler arranges for the scheduling of surgical procedures of patients to include pre- and post-operative scheduling and associated authorizations and related processes.
Must have clinical experience and knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Candidate must have sufficient understanding of surgical procedures.
REQUIRED: Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology. Ability to work with a professional demeanor with a diverse patient population. Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Effective oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED: MS office suite proficiency and experience with Meditech or other EMR.
