We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team! As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will be directly supporting the maintenance department in their daily operations. This can include delegating activities to ensure everything gets done in a timely manner, training new employees on safety procedures and standards, and regular inspections of all work completed. The ideal candidate has experience working in an apartment and commercial communities, experience managing a team, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Delegate the day-to-day tasks of the maintenance staff to meet current needs and prevent maintenance issues
- Train all new staff to ensure compliance and proper working knowledge of the position, and coach current employees to ensure standards are met
- Inspect all work completed on a regular basis
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance and changes as needed
- Foster a safe, positive working environment
- Obtaining bids from contractors
- Previous experience in a management role, ideally in an apartment environment, desired
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to perform maintenance operations
- Familiarity with computer programs, such as the Microsoft Office suite
