Essential Job Functions:

• Analyzes samples, interprets data, and provides reports to the foundry manager and quality manager.
• In a timely manager gathers lug and disc samples from DISA machine and records the data.
• Communicates any deviations in recorded data to metallurgy lab technicians or quality engineer.
• Monitors the weights of additives of specific chemicals in machine processing to meet standard and makes the necessary adjustments when chemistry is off.
• Operates a variety of machine components such as loading cores in DISA-matic machine, greenard and/or goff.
• Collects samples at 30-minute intervals throughout the assigned shift and may test samples of ductile iron.
• May be required to shovel sand to prevent machine down time throughout the molding process.

Education and Experience:

• Requires a high-school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires the ability to read, understand, comprehend and communicate verbally and in written form English reports, diagrams, work instruction and safety requirements.
• Requires mathematical skills such as the ability to multiple and divide units of measure and reasoning ability to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of concrete variables.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferrable.

Work Schedule and Hours:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• Full-time schedule, with occasional overtime assigned. Overtime may be assigned as extended hours or additional shifts.

Pay and Benefits:

• $19.57 - $20.91 per hour.
