Now Hiring: Public Health Nurse I or II - Maternal and Child Health (Prenatal/Postpartum Home Visiting Program)
(Two Grant-funded positions)
The Public Health Nurse I or II works directly with historically marginalized individuals, carries out health promotion programs at all levels of prevention, conducts basic data collection and analysis, and participates in field work including home visits and other outreach activities. Specifically, this position provides personalized case management to individuals and their infant(s) during pregnancy, the postpartum period, and/or up to the child’s third birthday. This position is grant funded through a Community Partnership Grant.

Franklin County Board of Health was established in October 1919 as a result of the Great Influenza, the most devastating pandemic flu on record. The authority of any health department in the State of Ohio is granted by law and is specifically detailed in the Ohio Revised Code. Public Health (FCPH) has a staff of approximately 90 people and operates with a budget of about $7.5 million. As defined by Ohio law, FCPH provides service to all of the townships and villages in the county. In addition, 14 suburban cities contract with us to serve as their health department and provide comprehensive public health services to their residents. Today we serve a population of 428,976 in a growing suburban area, through multiple community-oriented programs.
