Under moderate supervision and following standard procedures with some independent judgment, responsible for providing effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the customer service department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Builds and maintains working relationship with customers :
a. Supports policy holders by responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification
b. Communicates verbally, in writing, and electronically with customers and vendors
c. Keeps records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
2. Assists with the sale of insurance products :
a. Reviews applications and binds coverage for customers quoted
b. Solicits sale of new or additional services or products.
3. Verifies accuracy and coverage adequacy of policies. Requests changes to correct errors and follows up.
4. Processes policy changes such as address changes, vehicle additions, or coverage changes.
5. Performs other duties as assigned.
6. Property & Casualty License required.
7. Work Hours are 10 : 30am - 7pm EST, Monday through Friday with possible Saturday hours.
Required Experience
S. permanent residency (green card) process.
