Job Title: Survey Technician
Location: Keokuk, Iowa
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking to hire a full time Survey Technician to join our team of engineers and technical specialists. A successful candidate will contribute to the continued growth and success of the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient with Trimble GPS, Total Station, and data collection.
- FARO Scanning Certification or willingness to obtain FARO Scanning Certification.
- Associate Degree in Civil Technology or related field.
- Preferred Software Skills: AutoCAD, Civil3D, Faro Scene, Recap and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel out of town for projects and work outside.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commitment to following safety procedures.
- Perform 3D scanning and SUAS (drone) operations.
- Utilizing digital level to set high accuracy elevations on project control and benchmarks.
- Operating traditional land surveying tools (GPS/Total Stations) to complete topographic mapping surveys.
- Calculating horizontal and vertical positions from engineering plans for contractors to utilize during construction season.
- Completing property research for land surveying activities.
- Utilizing 2D for platting activities.
- Drafting of existing site conditions utilizing multiple software programs.
