Francis Marion University and the Campus Technology Department invite applications for a Programmer who has the primary responsibility of supporting Ellucian’s Colleague ERP on campus. Other operational responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ID card processing, electronic document management system, and the integration and operation of other third-party applications serving all aspects of the university’s business. The ideal candidate must be able to work individually and in teams to resolve problems and ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are met.
The successful candidate will report to the Director of Campus Applications and Data Services (CADS).
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
An associate degree in computer science or information systems and experience in systems development and maintenance or technical support is required. However, the ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or management science; or a bachelor’s degree and six months experience in computer programming, computer system development, etc.; or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Working knowledge of programming languages, particularly Envision Basic, Python, Javascript, and SQL. Capability to test and debug programs. Experience with Ellucian’s Colleague Studio, Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, Postman, and Informer is ideal. A working knowledge of managing Ellucian’s Ethos Integration is also a plus. Ability to prepare programming documentation and to follow established standards.
State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma and work experience in systems development and maintenance, technical support, or the support of database management systems. A bachelor’s degree in a related field may be substituted for the required experience.

Salary: Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
Normal Working Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Summer hours will vary. Evenings and weekends may be necessary, sometimes with little advanced notice.
