    Job Summary/Purpose: Under the direction of the building administration, special education team and INSPIRE program, performs a variety of duties related to assisting students with emotional disorders, intense behavior challenges and other related disorders with specialized services.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    Education: Minimum of sixty (60) college credit hours required. As a condition of continued employment, job incumbent must have and retain a valid Missouri Substitute Teaching Certificate. Job incumbent is required to successfully attend and document 15 hours of training during the first year of employment and AT LEAST 10 hours each year thereafter, as mandated by DESE, as a condition of continued employment.
    Knowledge/Skills:
    • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; and the treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
    • Commitment to understanding trauma informed care.
    • Able to verbally communicate, clearly and understandably, information and ideas to others.
    • Able to communicate information and ideas in writing to others.
    • Able to model effective practices with students.
    Experience:
    • Work experience in school setting assisting with the teaching of others preferred.
    • Experience working with individuals challenged with emotional regulation.
    Hours: 8:50 am - 4:10 pm
    Salary: $15.15/hr
