GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:

• Support field placement operations for undergraduate and graduate licensure programs in education programs.
• Accept and review field experience applications for field placement eligibility (and recheck prior to start of field experience), collect candidate application choices and related student data, and send candidate information to host schools.
• Maintain field experience-related documents and databases.
• Communicate with school principals at area public schools regarding placement opportunities.
• Communicate with teacher candidates regarding requirements for field placements and field experience orientation.
• Create and distribute certificates for supervising practitioner.
• Manage distribution of course vouchers for the supervising practitioners.
• Share placement information and time logs with faculty.
• Hold orientation sessions for teacher candidates.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field
• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative academic environment
• One or more years of experience working in Massachusetts public schools
• One or more years supervising teacher candidate practicums as a faculty member or supervising practititioner (teacher)
• Demonstrated commitmet to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism
• Competence in MS-Office software, including Microsoft Access

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Portuguese are strongly encouraged to apply.

This is a part-time non-benefited, contract position, not to exceed 18 hours per week. The pay rate is $30 per hour.
