FPC National is Hiring a HR Manager Near Houston, TX

Our client, a global chemical corporation, is looking for an experienced HR professional to partner with leadership at one of its most prominent manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. Responsibilities Recruit and onboard new hires, conduct performance management and provide feedback. Manage payroll and benefits for employees Assist in the articulation of the values and culture of the organization and propose HR management activities which support the organization's culture Partners with leaders and internal resources to develop and build employee skills with a focus on high potential employees Qualifications Bachelor's degree is required. Masters' degree is preferred. Minimum of 5 years recent related HR experience, industrial and manufacturing environments preferred; process or chemical plant environments preferred Ability to offer subject matter expertise on HR compliance/employment law knowledge, succession planning, employee retention, leadership development, performance management, employee / labor relations Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skill HCRI certification preferred. (PHR, SPHR or GPHR) Attention to detail and good judgement
