Functions and Responsibilities:
· Read and interpret complex drawings and basic welding symbols
· Inspection tool usage: tape measure, caliper, pin gauges, protractor, thread gauges, radius gauges, height gauges, bore mics
· Ability to work independently
· Complete complex First Article Inspections (FAIs)
· Familiar with customers’ requirements
· Basic understanding of GD&T
· Ability to answer questions from production floor
· Perform a variety of parts and product inspections to meet company and customer requirements
· Inspect incoming sub-out parts
· Document results of inspections
· Gather data and create reports for customers
· Communicate quality discrepancies to shop supervisors
· Validate material certifications and inspection documentation
· Follow the Nonconforming Material process
· Use calibrated measuring equipment where applicable
· Follow all safety procedures
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required
· Good verbal and written communication skills is required
Education:
· GED/High School Diploma/Technical Degree
Experience:
· 1-3 Years manufacturing and/or
· 3-5 Years inspection experience
1 Years in a metal fabrication environment – required
