The Accountant will be responsible for participating in activities in relation to the preparation of external and internal financial reports. Completing daily banking activities, monthly reconciliations, performing cost analyses and maintaining fixed assets.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm

Location: Ephrata, PA (onsite)

What you get to do as an Accountant

• Participate in month end and year-end financial close activities, maintaining accurate, timely accounting records and supporting documentation
• Responsible for daily banking activities, such as approving wires/ACH’s, and issuing stop payments
• Reconcile and analyze freight margin for our Logistics company
• Maintain fixed asset records
• Validate cost of goods sold and inventory value
• Reconcile and pay monthly customer rebates
• Reconcile bank statements and other general ledger accounts
• Provide weekly/monthly analysis reports
• Utilize Prophix CPM software to create financial reports
• Participate in the annual budgeting process
• Assist with the annual audit and tax preparation activities
• Build cooperative working relationships with relevant internal and external parties
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis

What you bring

• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business-related discipline required
• Computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP Systems

• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficient attention to detail
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment
• Adequate organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
