The primary purpose of the Banquet Bartender is to provide guests with an excellent bar experience during banquet events.

- Set up, tend and break down banquet bars in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards
- Check Banquet Event Orders to determine function, number of guests and type of bar (house, premium, cash, open, etc.
- Assist and approach all guests in a sincere, courteous and service-oriented manner, and whenever possible, goes the extra mile to ensure total guest satisfaction
- Perform cashier duties according to Banquet Event Order, following both SMI Hotel Group and the Franchise standards
- Follow established guidelines, policies and procedures regarding making beverages
- Abide by state, federal and corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
- Return all equipment and supplies to proper area
- Perform other duties as requested by management
- High School diploma or GED required
- One year prior bartending experience required
- Hospitality experience preferred
- Excellent oral communication skills required
- Positive interpersonal skills required
- Must be certified or willing to complete and maintain up-to-date alcohol serving class, such as TIPS or other state approved classes
- Ability and flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
