Job Summary:

Our award-winner Four Points by Sheraton Jacksonville Beach, FL is hiring for a full time or part time Bartender who will prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to guests, oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies. Ultimately, the right candidate will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests by delivering the best customer service. Marriott or any other hotel brand Experience is preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered.
• Ensures that fruit and other garnishes are prepared ahead of the opening of the bar.
• Maintains the bar and keeps it clean and organized.
• Attractively displays glasses and liquor bottles.
• Keeps bar stocked and clean
• Ensures that guests are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.
• Collects payment from guests for drinks/meals prepared and served.
• Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to guests who are intoxicated or disruptive.
• Submits orders or creates requisition forms for liquor, beer, and other bar-related supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of drink preparation or service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
• Ability to remain calm when dealing with unruly and argumentative guests.
• Knowledge of Micros is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Completion of ETIPs or other related training required.
• At least one year of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks.
• Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Must be legal drinking age or older.
