What is the opportunity?
Our Edge Nutritionist will report to the Chief Medical Officer. They will act as a guide, leading Fountain Life members towards a healthier, more fulfilling lifestyle by developing a customized, innovative nutrition plan. Our Edge Nutritionist will collaborate with other practitioners and physicians where necessary, to assist our members in achieving their health and wellness goals, while also preventing harmful diseases. They will follow all applicable protocols and procedures while educating and empowering each member. Our Edge Nutritionist must provide the 21st Century experience that members expect from Fountain Life and leave clients with a simple to understand yet detailed, and actionable nutrition plan.

What will you do?
This position is an integral part of Fountain Life’s overall mission help people Live Longer and Live Better. Our Nutritionist will enable members to gain a greater understanding of how foods affect their metabolism and health, by continuously monitoring blood glucose levels in correlation with a custom meal plan tailored to their health and wellness goals.
Consult with members to evaluate their dietary needs by listening to their concerns, reviewing their medical history, and assessing their health and exercise levels, sleep and food habits
Work with members to set health and nutrition clear goals based on their health objectives
Work with Health Coaches to implement nutrition plans
Create customized nutrition plans that promote healthy lifestyles; make refinements as needed
Educate members about healthy nutrition and dietary choices
Record member data and keep detailed records of every session
Collaborate on scientific research to expand field related knowledge; keep current with developments in food and nutrition industry
Refer to other practitioners and/or physicians as needed
Maintain confidentiality of all information related to members, medical staff and employees
Adhere to all Fountain Life’s policies and protocols; suggest improvements to improve operational efficiency
What do you need to succeed?
To ensure success, our Nutritionist must have in-depth knowledge of nutritional models, be able to effectively work within a team, be passionate about health and wellness, and have a strong desire to provide the highest-quality nutrition care. Top candidates will be committed to continued learning and stay up to date on the best practices and recent developments in the food and nutrition field. The chosen candidate will have a deep respect for policies and procedures, and work towards helping Fountain Life achieve their overall vision of transforming ‘SickCare’ to ‘WellCare’.

Must-Have’s:
Must be a licensed Nutritionist/Dietitian
Training in or understanding of functional medicine model
Full understanding of nutritional needs for a wide range of individuals
Thorough knowledge of nutritional biochemistry and the impact of nutrition on human physiology
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to empathize with clients and commitment to improve their quality of life
Must be able to think critically and make judgements about how to best help members
Passion for living a healthy, balanced lifestyle
Nice-to-Have’s:
3 years of proven experience as a nutritionist
Additional training and qualifications (i.e. FODMAP and IBS training, etc.)
