Foundation for Successful Living is seeking a Life Skills Instructor to join our growing team 3-4 days a week Monday through Thursday 8:45am-2:15pm.

FSL supports adult clients while they participate in activities of choice in their communities. Activities involve volunteering at local venues as well as participating in social and fitness activities. Our mission is to create purposeful and meaningful opportunities for individuals with disabilities to participate in and contribute to the communities in which they live. We strive to provide learning opportunities to maximize an individual's potential to learn, function, and flourish and our facility serves as a place for education, community building and support.

Staff support our clients while they participate in activities of choice in their community. Activities involve volunteering at local venues as well as participating in recreational opportunities within the communities. No prior experience required.

Job Description

• Provides supports and encourages natural supports to the client
• Maintains appropriate client supervision levels as outlined in their service plan.
• Provide care in accordance with client specifics, protocols, and rights restrictions.
• Timely documentation of services provided
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of FSL
• Treats all clients, staff and parents with dignity and respect
• Immediately reports any suspicions of abuse, neglect, or criminal activity to the Executive Director.
• Follow HIPAA policies regarding confidentiality of clients
• Other related duties as assigned
• Transport clients in personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
• Available Monday through Thursday 8:45 am – 2:15 pm

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Demonstrate good judgment & professionalism
• Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to and passion for FSL’s mission
• Ability to communicate clearly with parents, students, and staff
• Valid driver’s license & current vehicle insurance, and an acceptable driving record per FSL standards
• Employee must be able to be physically active throughout the day
• Proof of CPR & First Aid are required within the first 30 days of hire

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
