Family Registered Nurse

The Foundation for Sickle Cell Disease Research is the nation’s first comprehensive multispecialty center dedicated to sickle cell patients providing long-term, holistic services for those affected. The Foundation seeks the addition of a talented Registered Nurse for our locations in Daytona, Homestead, Tallahassee and Tampa.

SUMMARY

The Family Nurse Practitioner functions as a health care provider in an outpatient setting providing evidence-based care, including but not limited to therapeutic and preventative health care. General hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work is performed primarily in a clinical environment.

General Accountabilities

• Maintains accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors patients for reactions or side effects.
• Records patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitors, records, and reports symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Modifies patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
• Monitors all aspects of patient care.
• Prepares patients for and assists with examinations or treatments.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Associate's degree in nursing, bachelor's preferred.
• Experience: 5-10 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• BLS and first aid certification required.

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour
