Foundation Communities is Hiring a Program Manager for Digital Literacy Near Austin, TX

The Digital Equity Manager is responsible for managing the effective implementation and coordination of digital literacy
programming on-site at Foundation Communities’ properties. This is an in-person position with the option to
occasionally work some hours remotely. This position is full-time, year-round, benefits-eligible, and consists of both
daytime and evening hours.
Responsibilities:
• Provide organization-wide digital equity support by managing digital access and literacy efforts for residents and
clients
• Determine digital access and literacy needs of residents and clients through strategic partnerships with property
staff and community members
• Coordinate digital skills adult education classes through staff, volunteers and community partners
o Develop digital skills curriculum
o Incorporate a variety of technologies into instruction including technologies used in work settings such
as: photocopiers, scanners, and fax machines; and technologies used for personal settings such as:
iPads, cell phone/telephone applications (ex. voicemail, texting, camera, and videos), and digital/video
cameras.
• Manage digital access grants and projects
o Coordinate technology and device distribution
• Represent FC in community coalitions dedicated to digital equity; stay connected with community efforts
surrounding digital literacy
• Develop system to track and manage student performance and program impact including attendance and skill
gains
• Supervise Instructors
o Train instructors on best practices and up to date teaching methodologies for their subject area that
focuses on inclusive student-centered philosophy of providing services and resources.
o Observe classes and provide feedback for instructors on how to continuously improve classroom efficacy
• Coordinate with IT Manager as applicable
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience or some combination of education and experience
• Strong communication (written, oral, and interpersonal), staff management and program coordination skills.
• Proficiency in using standard office computer programs and databases.
• Ability to work in a team while also handling individual day-to-day responsibilities independently
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Position requires sitting with extensive keyboard use and will include carrying materials and supplies for outreach
events. Position requires driving to and from the two ESL sites and the main office.

Compensation: $60,000/ Annually
