Foundation Communities is Hiring an ESL Program Manger Near Austin, TX

Position Description: The ESL (English as a Second Language) Program Manager is responsible for managing the effective implementation and coordination of the ESL program both virtually and at Learning Centers on-site at Foundation Communities’ properties. This is an in-person position with the option to occasionally work some hours remotely. This position is full-time, year-round, benefits-eligible, and consists of both daytime and evening hours. ESL class hours are mornings (9-11am) and evenings (6:30-8:30pm) Mondays – Thursdays.Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversee ESL Program service at our properties
  • Act as the first point of contact for other programs (internal/external) or individuals interested in providing and/or utilizing ESL services
  • Establish and maintain rapport with all staff, volunteers, and clients to adequately deliver services, increase retention, and promote trust in confidentiality agreements.
  • Collect and protect confidential intake information from students in compliance with all grants
  • Maintain database and regular reports of student performance through ESL program
  • Recruit, hire, and manage all program staff, including instructors, and childcare assistants.
  • Keep up with best practices and collaborate with instructors to build a library of rigorous and engaging curriculum
  • Train instructors on best practices and up to date teaching methodologies for their subject area that focuses on inclusive student-centered philosophy of providing services and resources.
  • Observe classes and provide feedback for instructors on how to continuously improve classroom efficacy
  • Work closely with other departments to create opportunities for students to fully utilize the plethora of FC services
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience or some combination of education and experience
  • Strong communication (written, oral, and interpersonal), staff management and program coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in using standard office computer programs and database.
  • Ability to work in a team while also handling individual day-to-day responsibilities independently
Preferred Requirements:
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:Position requires sitting with extensive keyboard use and will include carrying materials and supplies for outreach events. Position requires driving to and from the multiple ESL sites and the main office.Compensation$60,000/annuallyThis position profile identifies the key responsibilities and expectations for performance.
