•  Understanding functional and operational roles of ASRI
  • Meet with staff to understand functions
  • Attend local industry meetings
• Develop a new criterion for adjacent band frequency planning criteria for aviation VHF radios
  • Applicable to all combinations/permutations of VHF datalink and voice.
  • Validate based on varying co-site distances.
  • Write it up into a usable policy.
• Develop AFC Wiki page for terms and systems
  • Develop wiki page on the AFC SharePoint for a glossary of terms.
  • Include system description and where technical details can be found.
  • System description for aviation systems to be included in the ICAO FSMP
• Conduct a mathematical assessment to provide options for equating probability of interference into any additional margin to be used in deterministic interference studies.
  • Review FAA risk assessment framework.
  • Write up a report on the issue and considerations/recommendations.
• Prepare physical archive material ready for document digitization.
  • Review and organize legacy technical and regulatory files ready for document digitization.

• Attend UN meeting (ICAO)
  • 22-26 July (expenses paid)
  • Montreal, Canada (US passport required)

• 40 hours a week
• $20 an hour

• RF Engineering, including radio design fundamentals
• Mathematics, including statistics
• Proficient at writing technical subjects into easy to understand reports
• Minimum 2 years of college
