 Work In Process (WIP):

1) Detail mechanical layout drawings from the installation group.

a) Machine installation, riser blocks, board tables, base plates and pit.

b) Drawings from Fosber production (table heights, base plate layout, other).

2) Drawings for manufacturing.

a) Riser blocks, board tables, base plates and guarding.

b) Web director layout.

c) Release drawings to vendor with purchasing.

d) Work with Fosber purchasing for price and delivery.

e) Quality check parts when received at Fosber.

Miscellaneous Work:

1) Sales proposal layout drawings for all machines.

2) Perform technical calculations and gather information needed to complete sales layout drawings.

4) Minor production drawings (brackets, misc. parts).

5) Miscellaneous drawings from any department at Fosber.

6) Drawings for training and/or manuals.

7) Create correspondence in Microsoft Word and Excel.

8) Mechanical production and detailing of drawings from the mechanical manufacturing group.

CAD Department Work:

1) Maintain all CAD related software.

a) AutoCAD and SolidWorks

2) Understand all CAD related hardware and software configurations.

a) Should be the “go to” person at Fosber for CAD related questions.

b) If unable to answer questions, should be able to find outside resource with the answer.

3) Staying current with CAD updates, trends and latest releases.

4) Participate in CAD seminars and/or classes to stay current with technology.

Required Travel – Varied, typical maximum 25% (65 Business days):

1) Installation measure up (backup only for installation group).

2) Mechanical design project (to survey the project in the field).

3) International visit to Fosber Headquarters (Lucca, Italy), possible travel to a field installation in Europe, likely in Italy..

Mechanical Design:

1) Machinery Improvement and Quality Control design

2) Understanding, quality control, and design of fluid systems, Steam,, and

Pneumatic.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Applied Science or related area
• 3-5 years of prior experience in a Mechanical Design role
